NEWS AND UPDATES
We believe all students can accomplish extraordinary things.
For more than 3 decades YSAP has helped students to achieve, to dream, and to fulfill their highest potential.
We will continue to work with our stakeholders to inspire, to motivate, and to empower young women and under-represented students in their pursuit of STEM fields and careers.
Our work has just begun! Come join us on this journey.

STEM SCHOLARS

YSAP STUDENTS ON TV
In a place known more for gang horrors than academic honors, Brentwood High School and neighboring Central Islip now count three semifinalists in the prestigious Siemens competition. The districts earned grants from YSAP to build their own labs, and now partner with more affluent school districts. “They can achieve the highest of high by working with someone that may have a little more than they do. You can’t compare yourself to someone else, be what you want to be,” said Dr. Rebecca Grella who is a veteran high school science teacher at YSAP.

WHO WE ARE
YSAP helps girls and disadvantaged students reach their fullest potential as innovators today. YSAP students have so much to offer to the world - we believe in the power that they hold, and know that they will mold future generations to come. Our STEM educational programs inspiring leadership, growth and community encourage students to accomplish things they didn't think were possible. The skills they learn and the friends they make along this exciting journey of discovery and enlightenment will last a lifetime.

A PORTFOLIO OF PROGRAMS IN STEM

STEM INNOVATION SCHOLARS
STEM Innovation scholars are America's young innovators engaged in imagining, inventing, improving and inspiring the world around us. We believe that our youth has the creativity and collaborative potential to solve some of the most challenging problems we face today. YSAP provides these innovators the tools and resources they need to achieve anything. We are proud of the work that they do to help build a better future for all of us.

SCIENCE RESEARCH SYMPOSIA
YSAP partners with schools and districts across the country to help foster science research opportunities for high school and middle school students enabling them to experience authentic science research projects that compete at local, national and international science fair competitions. YSAP hosts science research symposia where hundreds of students, parents, teachers and mentors come together to celebrate student excellence.

UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIPS
University partnerships are key to YSAP's efforts in helping raise student awareness about STEM fields of study and careers. Summer internships provide YSAP students a rich and learning environment that is authentic, informative and life-changing.
